Pastor Steve DiBenedetto
Executive Director Pastoral Counseling & Discipleship
After serving a tour in Vietnam from 1969-1970, Steve returned home, and in 1972 he came to know Jesus Christ as his personal Savior through a childhood friend. Steve began attending Community Bible Church where he and his family began growing and serving the Lord. In 1987, Steve was ordained to the pastorate and served as first an associate then senior pastor of Community Bible Church for thirty-five years. He also served as interim pastor and then pastor at Green Brook Baptist Church. Steve’s passion is to apply sound doctrinal truth to life situations through preaching and Biblical counseling. Steve was married on Feb 27, 1971 to his wife Ann and has three daughters along with nine beautiful grandchildren.
Steve’s ministry experience as a pastor includes the following:
- Effective preaching ministry
- Senior administrator of a Christian school
- School board member
- Junior/Senior High Bible teacher
- Christian school chapel speaker
- Overseer and manager of a budget
- Directed the purchase of and renovation of multiple church buildings
- Led and collaborated in the development of by-laws, philosophy and purpose statements for both a church and school
- Overseer of all church ministries
- Biblical counselor dealing with a wide range of conflicts and problems
- Director of evangelism and visitation
- Weddings and funerals
